WEEKLY FISHING REPORT - 7/28/15 by: Capt. Moon Shelton of Port A Bay Charters
Port Aransas Area Let's get to fishing ! If your thinking about wetting a line now is the time . Fish are holding steady and cooperating, of course there are up and down days. If it was always easy we wouldn't enjoy it . Now let me tell you this has been one of my best years, great catches and great people . If you're coming down and looking to catch fish, find yourself a guide and let them do the work. Now if your hard pressed to do it on your own, that's understandable . Try to think about the other guy out there. If you see a boat give them room. If you see a group of boats don't just barge in, sit back and watch what there doing ( if they're not throwing weights, you don't throw weight ). I also wouldn't recommend joining in unless you're waved in. Now if your a wade fisherman, realize your taking up way more area than a boat, which means your taking away from other people's fishing area. I recommend you wade in areas hard for boats to get to . Also if you're wade fishing in waste deep or deeper water, you are hard to see . It's something boaters have to look for as well, just realize you might not be seen until it's to late. Let's all be safe and try to work together. We're all given the luxury of using the water not ownership of it. I know I catch myself from time to time thinking I do. My most famous one liners, when someone is fishing where I want to fish and my gut tells me I could catch fish there ( That Guy Is Just Using Up My Oxygen! ) . Usually later on I have to tell my self we have to share & there are plenty more places to go . Y'all have a great Time fishing and always be safe.
